There’s no single right answer. The best schedule depends on how many people live in your home, whether you have pets, and how much cleaning you’re willing to do between visits. Here’s how we help clients choose.
Weekly: busy homes, kids and pets
If you have young kids, shedding pets or a lot of foot traffic, dirt builds up fast. Weekly visits keep kitchens, bathrooms and floors from ever getting ahead of you, and each visit is shorter because there’s less to catch up on.
- Households of four or more
- Dogs or cats that shed
- Anyone with dust or allergy sensitivities
Biweekly: the most common choice
Every two weeks is what most of our recurring clients choose. It’s frequent enough that bathrooms and floors never feel neglected, with time for a full reset of every room on each visit. You’ll handle dishes, clutter and quick wipe-downs in between.
Monthly: smaller or tidy households
Monthly visits work well for one or two people in a smaller home, or for anyone who keeps up with daily tidying and wants a professional reset once a month. Expect each visit to take a bit longer, since there’s more buildup between them.
Signs you need a more frequent schedule
- You spend most of a weekend day cleaning.
- Bathrooms need attention again a few days after a visit.
- Pet hair collects on floors and stairs within the week.
- You put off having friends over because of the state of the house.
Don’t forget the deep clean
Even on a weekly plan, some areas only need attention a few times a year: baseboards, vents, fans and inside appliances. Most homes benefit from a deep clean once or twice a year, and it’s the best way to start any recurring schedule.
